Article Abstract:
A study that will identify the psychological impact of an abnormal transvaginal ultrasound screening (TVS) test result on asymptomatic women undergoing TVS screening for ovarian cancer (OC), and the variables that account for differences in psychological response to an abnormal TVS result is presented. The results show that an abnormal TVS gives elevated distress and the impact of an abnormal TVS is most apparent in OC-specific distress measures.
