Qualitative differences between naive and scientific theories of evolution
Article Abstract:
The possibility of a parallel between early 'transformational' theories of evolution and modern naive theories are explored. Studies are conducted on a group of people based on their understanding of six evolutionary phenomena and results reveal that most participants demonstrate transformational reasoning inconsistent with natural selection and participants demonstrating transformational reasoning are as internally consistent as participants who understand natural selection.

A qualitative exploration of mood-regulatory self-gift behaviors
Article Abstract:
Mood-regulatory self-gift behaviors are investigated qualitatively by analyzing nine theoretically deduced themes linked to these behaviors. Three themes are related to the antecedents, four to the process and two to the consequences of mood-regulatory self-gift behaviors. An interpretive analysis of these themes is presented together with the results. The theoretical and managerial implications of the findings and suggestions for future research are then discussed.

Creativity and psychosis in scientific research
Article Abstract:
Two case studies illustrate the close relationship between scientific creativity and psychotic delusion. In both cases, scientists experienced episodes of psychotic disintegration which stimulated creative scientific ideas. Both patients had primarily benevolent delusions which they were able eventually to translate into socially acceptable forms.
