HIV and AIDS among adolescents in the United States: increasing risks in the 1990s
Article Abstract:
A review of studies conducted among US adolescents reveal that HIV infection and AIDS is a primary problem of the country's youth. Higher incidents of AIDS were reported among African American adolescents than among white youth. However, the largest number of cases were found in white males. Common risk factors include the sharing of injections and engaging in unprotected sex. These results indicate the need for more research, treatment facilities and prevention programs to fight the spread of the disease among adolescents.

Reducing totality and opening residential settings to their regions in the Israeli Kibbutz Artzi educational institutions in the 1980s and 1990s
Article Abstract:
The history, origins and functions of Israeli Kibbutz institutions were examined, focusing on the Kibbutz Artzi organization which set up junior and senior residential high schools. Recent changes had resulted in reducing the totality of these institutions because of the admission of day pupils, closing of boarding schools to kibbutz children and opening them for Youth Aliyah groups studying at the school. Deprived and ethnic minority children were among the youth groups encouraged to make use of the institutions' programs.
