The effects of social comparison on inaction inertia
Article Abstract:
The degree of advantage taken from a good opportunity depends on the advantage taken of a previously more attractive opportunity. This decision avoidance tendency is "inaction inertia." The results of three related studies, which examined the impact of inter-personal comparisons on decision-maker's inaction inertia, are presented.
