Substrate optimization in nut cracking by capuchin monkeys (Cebus apella)
Article Abstract:
An experiment is conducted to examine the effect of substrate on the nut-cracking behavior of a group of semicaptive capuchin monkeys (Cebus apella). The results have shown that adult capuchins chose the hardest substrates, and that these substrates have supported efficient cracking.

Summation and quantity judgments of sequentially presented sets by Capuchin monkeys (Cebus apella)
Article Abstract:
Experiments were conducted to assess the quantity judgments of capuchins when responding to sets of food items, identical in food type but differing in number, at the time of response. Results showed response to quantitative differences between sets.
