The Structure of Consumer Confidence in Four EEC Countries
Article Abstract:
The role of consumer confidence surveys on consumer demand is examined. Four European Economic Community (EEC) countries were compared for: general economic conditions, personal finance conditions, and household durable goods buying intentions. The components were found to be stable across countries and significant in predicting demand.

U.S. Consumer Attitudes and Home-Heating Conservation Behavior: A Multiattribute Longitudinal Model
Article Abstract:
A survey of household energy conservation practices for a medium size United States city is analyzed. The most significant causes of conservation were determined to be perceptual, attitudinal and behavioral. Household conservation is of prime importance in the overall energy saving plans of the United States.

Changes in Attitudes and Behavior by Using Solar Energy
Article Abstract:
Solar energy installations in Germany are examined to determine benefits and efficiency from their use. Solar energy was popularized to prevent widespread development of nuclear energy plants. Installations were encouraged through subsidies. Although performance was spotty, satisfaction is generally good.
