The development of prosocial behaviour in children and adolescents : a twin study

Article Abstract:

Positive interaction with other people, termed as prosocial behaviour, in high as well as low rates is an indicator of possible behavioral problems and affective disorders. The role of genetic and environmental influences as well as influence of age and gender are examined by twin study method, using parent and teacher report data. The study suggests that there is not much sex difference in the magnitude of genetic and environmental influences acting on the prosocial behaviour.

Prevalence of obesity, binge eating, and night eating in a cross-sectional field survey of 6-year-old children and their parents in a German urban population

Article Abstract:

The prevalence of obesity, binge eating, and night eating and the relation between obesity and the two eating disturbances in early childhood are examined. The results reveal that two eating disturbances in children's are associated with existing maternal eating disturbances, and with a non-German native language.

Test-retest reliability of the Chinese version of the Diagnostic Interview Schedule for Children-Version 4 (DISC-IV)

Article Abstract:

The development of the Chinese version of Diagnostic Interview Schedule for Children-Version 4 (DISC-IV) is reported and its test-retest reliability is examined. One of the findings suggests that parent informants had better test reliability than youth informants.
