The influence of explanations for selection test use, outcome favorability, and self-efficacy on test-taker perceptions

Research is presented concerning the investigation of the influence of ideological, causal and referential explanations on the favorability outcome of certain events. The perceptions of a sample of 202 undergraduates are discussed.

Research is presented concerning the investigation of the judge-advisor relationship in pairs comprising either strangers or ongoing relationships. The confidence of advisors was reflected in a high level of trust among judges.
