Incentives in simple bargaining games
Article Abstract:
A study was done on the different methods of compensating subjects in economic experiments to determine the effects of paying a randomly selected subset of subjects compared to paying all subjects at the end of a simple bargaining game. Results disprove the hypothesis that subjects will make the same decisions as they would if the were to be paid with certainty. It was shown that the subjects were more generous when 25% of the subjects are paid their shares than when all of them are paid.

Determination of first movers in sequential bargaining games: an experimental study
Article Abstract:
The behavior of first movers in bargaining games are studied. The game theoretical model predicts that first movers will ask for 80% of the pie. However, results show that first movers asked for only 68% of the pie regardless of how their positions were determined, how the instructions are framed and the incentive level. Nonetheless, the bargaining behavior did change with an increase in incentive level.
