The kinetic mind
Article Abstract:
The kinetic human mind is comprised of the totality of life experiences, and its basic substance is affect. In humans, the mind has achieved a high degree of freedom from instinctual forces. Instinct has been replaced by forces such as pride and the quest for intimacy, which separately and in conflict are sources of affect. 'Now' for the human mind is the constantly changing record of the entire life process which results in affect production and discharge.

Behind the scenes: observations of the editorial process
Article Abstract:
Editors could fully benefit from adopting the Quick Advice review technique because it enables reviewers to convey the necessary information to the editor briefly and more rapidly. Reviewers can also give their impressions of a particular manuscript even if they are unable to do a more thorough review. Hence, it serves as the middle ground between a full review and sending the paper back to the editor with no comments.
