The relationship between perceived evaluation of weight and treatment outcome among individuals with binge eating disorder
Article Abstract:
The relationship between binge eating disorder treatment outcome and perceived evaluation of weight was examined. Results show that negative situations and evaluations regarding weight-related behaviors promote poor treatment outcome with weight loss. Negative affect, however, was not associated with outcomes of binge eating intervention. Results were gathered through correlation between the severity of psychopathology and negative affect.

Does the size of a binge matter?
Article Abstract:
Research was conducted to establish if there are substantial differences in the relationships of objective and subjective binges as regards psychopathological measures. Data were gathered from a sample of 174 women with ages ranging from 18 to 49 years who volunteered for a treatment study of bulimia nervosa. Results indicate that the differences in binges were not responsible for the variance in the baseline measures.
