Understanding spatial relations: flexible infants, lexical adults
Article Abstract:
The theories of containment and support were tested on Korean- and English-speaking adults and infants by applying nonverbal, preferential-looking tasks. While the preverbal infants were willing to learn spatial semantics in either language, the adults were constrained by different spatial terms lexically encoded in their respective languages.

Study focusing on developmental changes in spatial recall is conducted. Experiments were conducted in developmental psychology to study whether development is continuous and to characterize the nature of developmental change in a variety of domains.

Infants' comprehension of toy replicas was assessed. Studies indicated that infants do not comprehend symbolic relations between model toy replica and their real counterparts.
