When anaphor resolution fails: Partial encoding of anaphoric inferences
Article Abstract:
The readers fail to resolve noun phrase anaphors when the antecedent is difficult to retrieve from memory and the inference is not necessary for comprehension and using four experiments it was investigated the hypothesis that these inference were actually partially encoded. It is concluded that readers were satisfied with an under specified representation although they knew that an antecedent was present in the passage, they did not devote the resources to fully reinstate it.

On the use of verb-based implicit causality in sentence comprehension: Evidence from self-paced reading and eye tracking
Article Abstract:
The latest claim that verb based implicit causality information is used during sentence-final clausal integration only is examined in two experiments of self-paced reading and eye tracking. Results suggest that implicit causality is used proactively, allowing readers to focus on, and perhaps even predict, what would be talked about next.
