Clients from hell

Article Abstract:

Service bureaus that provide printing services all have stories of when a particular printing job caused many problems due to client or service bureau ignorance. Problems can include clients who do not want to spend the money to do a project right, as well as those caused by clients who insist on using alpha versions of software to meet important deadlines. There are also cases when customers create huge files that cannot be printed or who do not understand their software and create unmanageable files. Clients need to be aware that if they have problems printing their files on a laser printer, a service bureau is likely to have problems printing them on an imagesetter. Specific examples of service bureau problems with customers are presented.

A home from home

Article Abstract:

Ninety-eight-year-old Sid Jones was moved to a nursing home suffering from mild Parkinson's disease. Jones had recently been treated for a chest infection and required 24-hour nursing care as he was confused, incontinent and immobile. On admission, Jones was found to have an infected pressure sore on his right heel, with sores also developing on his right hip and sacrum. Details of Jones' treatment at the nursing home is given.
