Colorscript 100: QMS, Inc
Article Abstract:
The Colorscript 100 printer, from QMS, costs $21,995. This color printer, capable of 300-dot-per-inch color proofs, uses thermal transfer technology involving a four-pass print process. Clarity and definition are excellent, blacks are rich and even, and color accuracy is very good. A negative feature is noted: the printable image area of an 8.5-inch-by-11-inch page is 8.9 by 8.1 inches, compared to about 8.25 by 10.75 inches on most printers.
