Fletcher after Pentagram
Article Abstract:
Graphic artist and designer Alan Fletcher is pursuing his work independently since leaving Pentagram, the design company he helped establish, in 1992. Fletcher emphasizes the importance of using wit in his graphic work. He will cogently argue for his designs when he feels they are appropriate. Fletcher feels that his designing and artistic ability stems from his skills in seeing things with a certain degree of acuity that is lacking most people. A book on Fletcher by David Gibbs, called 'Beware Wet Paint,' is being published in late 1995.
