Generation of dreams: Serge Lutens
Article Abstract:
Serge Lutens, artistic director for Japanese cosmetics firm Shiseido Company Ltd, is given the freedom to incorporate art into the advertisements he creates. Lutens, a French artist, develops print and television spots that combine Cubism and other dramatic art styles for an exotic effect. Lutens once worked for Dior, but he finds the environment at Shiseido more conducive to creativity, which seems unusual to many, considering it is a Japanese firm. He began his career at French 'Vogue.
