Of art and advertising: Armando Testa
Article Abstract:
Italian advertising agency mogul Armando Testa, who died at age 74 in 1992, was highly influential for several decades. His work was admired by film director Federico Fellini and others. Testa's advertising agency had such clients as tire company Pirelli, the makers of Fiat and Alitalia. Testa did not feel his work would be popular in the US, as Americans seem obsessed with cleanliness and health. His ads often focused on the Italian love of food, to the point of wallowing in it. Testa had a lifelong love of art.

Gunther Raupp
Article Abstract:
German photographer Gunther Raupp creates photographs that advertise some of the world's most exclusive cars. Since 1981, he has worked for Fiat, Porsche, Ford, Peugeot, Alfa Romeo and Ferrari. Raupp views photography as more of a medium than an artistic endeavor. He seeks merely to convey the beauty of automotive design, and is uninterested in portraying cars as part of luxurious lifestyles.
