Hans-Christian Jenssen
Article Abstract:
Hans-Christian Jenssen has created three massive paintings to cover parts of a famous Zurich, Switzerland, building. The Haus zum Schwert, or House of the Sword, is a large structure on the Limmat river in Switzerland that may be more than 700 years old. Jenssen has connected twelve 16 x 11 foot canvasses and six 13 x 11 canvasses to cover three sides of the building. The bright paintings, now covering scaffolding around the building, reflect the colors of the river and the environment around the House of the Sword.

Visual engineering
Article Abstract:
The term 'visual engineer' has been used to refer to individuals that perform functions long performed by graphic designers. The term seems to stress the technique inherent in design. 'Visual engineer' should be replaced by 'technician,' a term which should be used to describe individuals in positions requiring technical knowledge but not creativity.
