Are urban Brownfields becoming a better investment?
Article Abstract:
State and federal governments are offering voluntary cleanup and industrial reuse incentives for parties interested in rehabilitating Brownfield sites. The government program frees the redeveloper from future environmental liabilities that may accompany a contaminated site. Financial institutions and other lenders are also encouraged to support such projects with a substantial number of risk management and insurance products for Brownfield exposure.
