Peterborough, England, is fast becoming a boom town, with full business parks and rising rents. However, while strong demand is putting pressure on industrial rents, there is not enough stimulation for new developments and availability is at a 40-year low. The dominance of landowners Hampton Southern Townships and English Partnerships is deterring prospective occupiers and stunting growth, says Andrew Leech of commercial property agent Carter Jonas.
