Article Abstract:
The key to a company's success in the modern business environment lies in its ability to pinpoint and quickly act on the opportunities created by new technological breakthroughs. This has become especially critical today given the extremely rapid pace of innovation. Top managers should realize that it is not enough to delegate this function to research and development departments or other similar units. They should take an active part in this effort by looking out for new technologies which have a potential impact on the company's business.
