Curb on car use set in train
Article Abstract:
The UK government is to introduce parking-space taxes for companies which provide dedicated spaces for workers. The proposal is expected to make companies more aware of their employees' dependence on cars, while at the same time increasing the number of people prepared to use public transport to get to work. Local residents can voice their opinions on car-reducing proposals by supporting schemes set up by the Architect Foundation.
