Deregulation of the energy sector is one of the most profound issues to be addressed by industry players. Although a number of states have decided to adopt non-deregulatory policies, others have intensified their efforts to deregulate the market thereby making the energy sector a highly complicated environment to work in. Deregulation has also presented a number of challenges associated with overhead costs and service quality.
