Underground movement
Article Abstract:
EDI Group has gained permission to develop the 23,225 sq mt Galleries Retail Centre underneath Princes Street in Edinburgh, Scotland. The company believes that it can raise the 100 million pounds sterling required for the scheme, which is planned to open in early 2003. However, the unusual nature of the scheme has made many property sector experts express doubts about whether it will actually go ahead. It is widely agreed that there would be no problem attracting tenants, even if the scheme were undertaken in conjunction with development work at Waverley Station.
