The value of management plays an important role in the valuation of real estate investments. This value is based on management's capability to produce profits for shareholders. Investors can utilize several management valuation models to compute for this value. These include the market-value added, the economic value-added, the discounted cash flow and the comparative ratios approach.

Dealing with radon: it's good business
Article Abstract:
The EPA estimates that 14,000 Americans die from household radon each year. A naturally occurring radioactive gas, radon is the second-leading cause of lung cancer. In 1991, the Environmental Law Institute created the Radon Program where the 'Home Buyer's and Seller's Guide to Radon' was drafted. Reducing radon in houses includes sealing and 'sub-slap depressurization.'
