Sellers may be persuaded to go the auction route when selling off commercial properties, although a qualified real estate agent may be a better option as more time and effort will be put into getting the best deal for the client rather than taking the best offer on the day. Real estate agents have a greater understanding of the market and a private treaty sales can usually achieve a higher rate of return than a traditional auction house.
