Western Canada's provinces are actively seeking economic development. Alberta has altered its tax environment to become one of the most competitive in North America. Saskaetchwan is creating many new jobs, and Manitoba has one of the lowest unemployment rates as adds jobs. British Columbia has a changed political climate more favorable to growth.
