Housebuilding logjam looms
Article Abstract:
The introduction of new legislation governing the release of greenfield sites for housing developers in the UK could have a serious affect on the number of houses being built and therefore put into jepardy the government's housing policy. The new rules put the onus of councils to ensure brownfield sites are considered and used before allowing developers to build on greenfield sites. Industry experts believe the move will have a detrimental affect on housing stock and supply.
