Article Abstract:
The town of Tamworth in Staffordshire is well-placed to enjoy high levels of economic growth because of its position close to the industrial West Midlands. It is expected that the region will enjoy a rapid rate of expansion and Tamworth's status as a distribution hub is enhanced by the increasing popularity of the M42 motorway. Speculative building includes the 120,000 sq ft Centurion Park scheme. The sale of undeveloped land lies at the centre of Tamworth's future prosperity, with most large distribution firms preferring to build their own facilities.

Article Abstract:
Stafford is the county town of Staffordshire, but its industrial and commercial property market has failed to benefit from the arrival of junctions 13 and 14 of the M6 motorway in the 1960s. Demand for property is local, with the office market static and little speculative development. A flagship scheme is the county council's Stone Business Park, which has attracted some interest, but generally development has been sluggish because of the council's restrictive use policy.
