It's got everything going for it
Article Abstract:
The Trafford Park Development Corporation has sold some 600,000 square metres of land for industrial development and created around 18,357 new jobs on a 100 acre site in Manchester, England. The corporation was set up in 1987 to revive industry in the area and to create at least 16,000 jobs. Land has been sold at full price and new owners must fulfill certain criteria before developing the land. Some agents fear that the construction of Trafford Park, a new shopping and leisure centre, may create traffic problems for industrial occupants.

Crystal glazing
Article Abstract:
Some 33 million pounds sterling is planned to be invested by London and Regional Properties Ltd on a new building on the site of the old Crystal Palace, London, England. The building will incorporate a range of leisure facilities, viewing areas and food outlets. Architect Ian Ritchie has received some opposition against his glass and steel design, which he contends is modern but in keeping with the specifications made in The Crystal Palace Act passed in 1990. The orignal Victorian Crystal Palace was burnt down in 1936.

Zoning in on enterprise
Article Abstract:
Four new enterprise parks are planned in the East Midlands, as part of a 200 million pound sterling government rescue package drafted after the closure of 36 collieries in the area. The four sites are all situated close to the M1: Manton Wood, Crown Farm, Holmewood, and Sherwood Park. Enterprise zones offer tax incentives to investors and occupiers, although criticisms include: companies tend to move on when the incentives cease after ten years.
