Streets of desire
Article Abstract:
The development of large shopping outlets, in the main cities of Portugal, have been virtually completed although some less expansive centres may still be required. Several shopping centres have been built since the first was opened in Lisbon, Portugal, during 1985. The newly built shopping developments have proved very popular with foreign retailing companies which have experienced some difficulty in moving into high street locations. Foreign operators are obliged to pay a premium for a unit on a high street. A 1.25m sq ft centre was opened in Lisbon during Sept 1997.

Going for golf
Article Abstract:
The Costa del Sol region of Spain offers significant property investment opportunities. The region's residential market is beginning to revive, with particular interest in larger schemes for blocks of between five and 10 apartments. There is strong demand from tour companies for high quality accommodation, and there is also strong interest in units close to golf courses. Investors considering becoming active in the region should ensure that they make a full evaluation of potential returns.
