Leisure pursuits
Article Abstract:
The British government's planning policies will have a negative impact on health and fitness operations, as they may be limited in their expansion plans particularly with their car-parking facilities. Some industry observers anticipate the boom in the fitness and health market will continue until 2005 whilst others suggest the market will expand for only two more years. The market is becoming more competitive as the operators have some difficulty in finding suitable sites. Some firms are opening up their operations in town centres by converting old retail units.
