Look west for locations
Article Abstract:
The reduction in the availability of offices in Hammersmith, London, England, may result in potential leasers moving to Brentford or Heathrow. Office buildings are available in Brentford but these lack easy access to the west end of London and have poor parking facilitates. Only 10,000 sq ft of office space was available for rental purposes in Hammersmith in Jan 1997. Two speculative building development projects are planned for the Hammersmith Embankment although this is not an established area for office accommodation.

Pretty vacant
Article Abstract:
Southampton, England, has a large amount of un-let office property. Developers undertook a number of speculative schemes in the city in the mid-1990s because the Southampton office market had remained buoyant during the recession of the early 1990s. However, these schemes, which became available during 1995 and 1996, have all failed to let. Agents are unable to give a reason for the change, but some are hoping for a revival in interest due to shortage of office space in the Thames Valley.

Grand old ladies reign supreme
Article Abstract:
The office accommodation in Liverpool city centre is dominated by four victorian office buildings: the Royal Liver Building; the Cunard Building; The India Buildings and the Martins Buildings. Each structure has been designed to suit modern needs, despite its age and traditional appearance. New office accommodation, to be called the Victoria Exchange, is under development on Victoria Street. Office tenants tend to come from within Liverpool.
