More for lease
Article Abstract:
UK companies are wrong to assume that the Finance Act 1997 and the recent Budget have made finance leasing an unattractive method of creating cash. A finance lease allows debt to be raised at low cost through the transfer of allowances to a property lender. It also ensures that the company concerned enjoys an immediate gain through selling the allowances. The Finance Act 1997 has abolished the use of a range of tax leverages in addition to capital allowances as a means of creating value.

Nackebro to sell its Euro assets outside Sweden
Article Abstract:
Swedish property concern Fastighets AB Nackebro is to sell off its properties in UK and continental Europe, as it feels that it can no longer operate with properties spread over a large area. It will focus on Gothenburg, Malmo and Stockholm, where 7% of its portfolio is already located. In the UK, the most attractive building is at 105 Victoria Street, London SW1, which has a value of around 70 million pounds sterling.
