New World Development Council member is changing the face of Barcelona
Article Abstract:
The Barcelona Development Agency is the newest charter member of the World Development Council (WDC). The agency is undertaking the $7.5-billion redevelopment of Spain's second-largest city in preparation for the 1992 Olympics. Construction of the Olympic venues, village and hotels, as well as infrastructure improvement of the port, airport and city roads, is underway. The WDC is a non-profit international organization that aims to assemble engineering firms, investors and other agencies to undertake economic development.

Global Super Projects Conference draws world-class developers to Singapore
Article Abstract:
The 1993 Global Super Projects Conference will be held in Singapore from Mar 7 to 10, 1993. The summit will discuss ways to effectively increase development of large real estate projects. The Economist magazine editor Rupert Pennat-Rea will be the speaker who will report the economic prospects of the different world regions and the prospects of the global economy. The conference is an annual project of the World Development Council chaired and founded by McKinley Conway.
