North Carolina, Texas and Ohio win 1992 race for corporate facilities
Article Abstract:
Site Selection magazine's 1992 survey of new and expanded facilities was topped by North Carolina and Texas which both had 405 additions for the year. Ohio ranked second with 319 new and expanded facilities. Florida, on the other hand, slipped from being number one since 1988 to third place with 252 facilities. California ranked fourth with 221 new and expanded facilities. The survey also shows that the South Atlantic region had the highest number of new and expanded facilities with 1,114 for 1992.

Ohio hits big ten
Article Abstract:
Ohio ranked third in Site Selection and Industrial Development magazine's top 10 states with the most number of new facilities and expansions for 1992. There were 319 new facilities in Ohio, which did not make the top 10 list in 1991. Gov George V. Voinovich attributes Ohio's facility growth to the enactment of legislation giving the state economic tools to bring in employment and business to Ohio.
