Solutions to London's traffic problems are urgently needed, and there are several new infrastructure schemes leading up to the Millennium. However such transport links are notorious for being behind schedule and over budget. The extension of the Jubilee line will link with Docklands, making it a significant rival to the City. There is also a planned extension to the Docklands Light Railway which is scheduled for completion in 2000. There is speculation about a fast rail service between the City and Heathrow Airport, and it would involve upgrading an existing freight route.

Contract stationer Corporate Express has taken a new 6,875 sq mt warehouse with offices at Elstree Distribution Park in Elstree, England. The company was particularly attracted by the fact that the site is closely associated with the Elstree film studios, and regards its new facility as a corporate showroom. It was also important to ensure that the new building was within travelling distance of Harrow, England, thus allowing as many of the existing staff to be retained as possible.
