A computer comprises of a processor, monitor, keyboard, printer and a mouse. The keyboard is similar to a typewriter keyboard but it has some additional keys which are called function keys. They have different uses according to which program is being run. The mouse is used to move the cursor on the screen. Programs which are used on the computer are known as software. The operating system has a number of programs which allow the user to work on the computer. There are several operating systems for the computer, such as Windows 95, Linux, and MS-DOS. They do not all work on every computer.

Expert advice should be sought prior to making an investment, or important areas may not be investigated.
