Pastures renewed
Article Abstract:
Developments in rural areas in the UK will be determined by planning policies acting against market forces, according to Craig Noel, a planner with Strutt & Parker, speaking at the conference 'Young Perspectives - Visions for Agriculture and the Rural Economy.' People will continue to prefer to live in the countryside, and this will go against planning policies which are focusing investment on brownfield sites. An effective planning system will allow a thriving rural economy to emerge.
