Spare space, but nowhere to park
Article Abstract:
The town of Swindon still has around 500,000 sq ft of vacant office space, and this will not be substantially reduced while the borough council sticks to its tough parking policy. Local agents believe that council parking restrictions will represent a barrier to further investment, including urgently required refurbishments. At present, parking is limited to one space for every 322 sq ft of new development.

Short on space, but not on action
Article Abstract:
Shortage of suitable modern space is become a problem for property agents in Surrey towns such as Staines, Chertsey and Sunbury. Chertsey is popular with developers because of its attractive location at the intersection of the M25 and M3, while the market in Staines has also improved considerably recently. Developments are also taking place in towns including Kingston upon Thames and Richmond.
