Steady as a rock
Article Abstract:
The centre of Maidstone, Kent, England, has undergone some redevelopment work, with the bus station being renovated and 4 million pounds sterling being spent on the Chequers Centre. Some leisure facilities have been developed in the town centre along with several new restaurants. Demand for industrial space has diminished, in 1998, compared to a buoyant 1997. The supply of good quality buildings has also declined. A new office centre, incorporating some 48,650 sq ft of space, is under consideration.

Article Abstract:
The demand for office space in Ashford, Kent, England, is buoyant, with a number of European companies showing an interest in moving to the area. The increase in demand could lead to the redevelopment of older style buildings. The demand for office space in Canterbury, Kent, England, is slow with many sites left empty. The 380,000 sq ft Whitefriars retail centre, in Canterbury, is likely to encourage shoppers into the town. The lack of car parking facilities is a problem in Canterbury.
