The UK property industry should be more aware of the need to secure a continuing flow of foreign investment to pay for large capital schemes. In particular, it needs to do more to attract foreign investors to London, England, which already has a strong reputation as an international financial centre. Property professionals should show more confidence in London's attractions, being aware that the city offers a high quality of life and an exciting working and social environment.

Rethink for developers as building land prices fall
Article Abstract:
UK prices of building land have dropped in 3rd qtr 1995, according to Savills. The price for building land appears to have peaked in the UK and could rops further in 1996. Land prices are at the same levels as 1987, but the price of houses in higher than it was in that year. Sites in town centres are more expensive than those on the edge of urban areas. The shortage of land means that contaminated land and other options will have to be considered.
