Signs of inconsistency
Article Abstract:
The introduction of new property legislation in the UK has led to a dramatic drop in the number of dispute cases. The reforms were introduced after the Woolf commission ruled on fairness, speed and costs within the property law sector. The fall in dispute cases is expected to result in an 18 million pounds sterling shortfall on court costs from 2000 to 2001, which may lead to costs rising.
