Charles Brocklehurst is managing director of inner city development agency Inner City Enterprises (ICE), which was created in 1983. The agency bought the industrial portfolio of what was the Greater London Council in 1986 and created London Industrial plc, which currently has a gross asset value of 100 million pounds sterling. Brocklehurst is committed to managed workspace and his career includes stints with Shell UK, the London Enterprise Agency and LEntA Properties.

Taylor refashions his urban Enterprise

Top urban regeneration consultant David Taylor's drive towards sustainable growth is having a positive impact on businesses and the government. Taylor, former head of body English Partnerships, is determined to encourage urban regeneration programmes based on a holistic approach. He believes the private sector, together with some government funding, should support inner city redevelopment programmes.
