Article Abstract:
The major mobile phone operators have different plans on how they are going to manage the distribution of their products, as demand increases rapidly. It is estimated about 2 million mobile phones are purchased annually. Some managers point out they do not need much more space to meet demand as the product is small in size. The Pocket Phone Shop plans to keep control over their own distribution organisation whilst Vodafone has a holding company. Some firms are considering supplying customers directly. Others are looking for flexible leases on their new warehouse facilities.
