Survey reveals new factors behind site location decisions
Article Abstract:
Corporate location strategy is increasingly being influenced by global economic considerations. The first priority is the availability of skilled labor, or, at the very least, trainable workers. Other considerations that rank high in the corporate location strategy include access to global markets, easy access to major transportation facilities and location of facilities near urban areas. The availability of leasable spaces was also a factor that was taken into account.

European Union: how Europe is rewriting its site location rules
Article Abstract:
The European market is expected to undergo major organizational changes, as the continent gears for the implementation of a single-currency policy. Such changes would be most apparent in the financial sector, where banking institutions would adopt a more customer-oriented approach in capital lending. The currency policy would not only enhance site expansion in the region, but would open industries to more market opportunities and growth, as well.
