Taking on a wider role
Article Abstract:
Facilities management of office buildings in the UK is concerned with ensuring that occupiers can continue their businesses in a building which is fully serviced and managed. The major facility management companies use on-site employees who contract out services such as catering and cleaning. Prospective office building occupiers not only want flexible leases but also require fully managed properties. Some surveying companies are seeking to join with facilities management companies to provide an overall service whilst others prefer to give advice on facilities management operations.
