Northwest Ohio has attracted a large number of industrial and commercial investments due to the diligence of its leaders to make the area favorable for investments. The area has a history of basic manufacturing industries and a skilled labor force which the area leadership has capitalized on by improving its communications, energy and transportation infrastructures as well as by providing skills training and enhancement to workers. The area also provided attractive economic and tax incentives. In a three-year period, Northwest Ohio has attracted almost $2.4 billion in capital investments.
