The quest for efficient space
Article Abstract:
A number of companies are now reassessing the way they use their office space, moving away from traditional systems based on each employee having a permanent desk. In some organisations, staff now do not have a specific desk, but are allocated to a desk temporarily according to the project they are currently working on. Most do not report any problems with this approach, and companies benefit from a considerable reduction in the floorspace ratio per person.

Changing perceptions shift space
Article Abstract:
The area north of Oxford Street, London, England, has traditionally found it hard to attract good office tenants. However, this situation now seems to be changing. Occupiers are placing more emphasis on building quality than location, and there are very attractive offers now being made in this area. Indeed, it has some of the largest available buildings in the West End, and take-up in the year to Mar 1996 was up 30% compared with the previous year.
